Events will begin Tuesday, September 6th and run through Saturday evening, September 10th with festivities in Hershey and Harrisburg, PA. The AACA Museum and ITC have paired up together for this fun filled week of events. A special highlight during the week includes the activities hear at the AACA Museum on Thursday, September 8th. It is a day packed with happenings including a museum tour, a special behind the scenes tour, lunch, and an all Thunderbird car show in front of the museum from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM where visitors will have an opportunity to view these fabulous vehicles from all over the country.

See owner Richard Stuck’s hand built reproduction of the Ford Thunderbird Battlebird. A 1957 super charged engine race car built to compete with the 1957 Chevy Corvette at Daytona Beach, Florida. Also see, the rare ’67 Thunderbird, Abercrombie & Fitch, Apollo, owned by Gene Martini.  Five Apollo’s were commissioned to be displayed in their NYC, San Francisco, Chicago, Miami, and Palm Beach stores. The Apollo was way ahead of its time which included many unique features such as a TV and telephone.

A Ford Thunderbird limited edition signed print given by Ford Motor Company will be presented by Hank Hallowell, AACA Museum Board President, as a gift to the International Thunderbird Club. ITC President, Gerard (Bart) Bartasavich, will accept the print on behalf of ITC. Other presentations include an engraved ITC logo commemorative brick to be permanently placed at the entrance of the AACA Museum. The ITC host hotel is the Best Western Premier, 800 East Park Drive, Harrisburg, PA (717) 735-9397. Events are scheduled throughout the week starting with a Welcome Party at the Best Western on Tuesday, September 6th and a guided tour to the Gettysburg Museum and the Battlefields on Wednesday, September 7th. Members from as far away as Texas, Idaho, and Alabama will be joining the car events.

The finale during the Thunderbird week is in Harrisburg, PA at the Thunderbird Concours show at the Best Western Hotel grounds Saturday, September 10th from 9 AM to 3 PM. All makes and models (1955-2005) are welcomed to the show. If you have a T-Bird or you are a T-Bird enthusiast come join the ITC show.  International Thunderbird Club is excited to be the only T-Bird club recognized by the Ford Motor Company. This year Ford has invited Thunderbird author John Katz to the convention and to AACA Museum to report on the ITC event.
