Hershey, PA (January 23, 2014) – This February, Hershey, PA is celebrating its 10th year of Chocolate Covered February, a month long, town-wide celebration of all things chocolate. The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum has some fun things planned as part of the festivities.
Throughout the month, visitors can enjoy the Museum’s 1920s gallery that portrays images of downtown Hershey in the 1920s via large scale hand painted murals. The Hershey’s Kissmobile Cruiser will be on display in front of the AACA Museum where guests can examine this unique vehicle up close and even take their photo with it! Kids of all ages will enjoy the Hershey’s Kisses Scavenger Hunt throughout the Museum, during the entire month of February – how many Hershey’s Kisses can you find during your visit? One lucky winner will be selected from all those who participate during the month and will receive a 5lb. Hershey’s Chocolate Bar as a sweet reward. Guests can also enjoy our newest special exhibit “The Art of the Build: Rods & Kustoms” which focuses on the cars and their creators that dared to be different.
Besides the month long activities, we have a couple special one-day activities. To kick-off Chocolate Covered February on Saturday, February 1st children can create their own white wall tire out of a chocolate donut and vanilla frosting from 11-1 PM. On President’s Day, February 17 between 1-3 PM kids can create their own Hershey’s Kissmobile using a variety of Hershey’s Chocolate products. To sweeten the deal, we’re also offering $5.00 admission for everyone to celebrate President’s Day.
In addition to chocolate, love is in the air for February! The AACA Museum is hosting its 5th annual Wedding Show on Sunday, February 23. Brides and grooms will have the chance to meet with dozens of Central PA’s best wedding vendors who can assist with everything needed in planning their special day. To boost the excitement there will be fun activities with fabulous prizes such as a Louis Vuitton handbag with a secret prize inside worth over $1,000! Our infamous “cake dive” will also be back again this year.
The show hours are 11-4PM with ticket prices starting at $8 for advance purchase, and $10 at the door. You can also sign up for The Bride Behind the Mask: VIP Experience to enjoy the extra luxuries of a limousine ride, fresh gourmet samples by the Executive Chef of C&J Catering, front row seating for our fashion show, provided by Taylor for You, along with much more. All this for just $40 to experience the show in a way you’ll never forget. Due to all the excitement from the Wedding Show on February 23, 2014 the facilities will not be open as a regular “museum” experience.
