Hershey, PA | Today, AACA Museum, Inc. Executive Director Jeffrey Bliemeister announced the launch of a new way for motoring enthusiasts to enjoy the Museum’s archives from the comfort of home. The Museum presents its new virtual bookshelf, “Museum Best Reads,” as its latest online resource. The FREE selections on the “shelf” include stories to spark the memory or fuel the imagination and can be read online or downloaded for future perusal.
Bliemeister said, “The Museum continues to introduce creative ways for everyone to enjoy conveniently the Museum’s world-class automobile collection and archives. I’m excited about our new ‘bookshelf’ and how it engages readers with remarkable automotive history, memorable narratives, and exciting characters.”
The content for the stories comes from:
- Reflections, the Museum’s publication
- Curated stories involving the Museum
- Tucker Topics, a publication of The Tucker Automobile Club of America, a Museum partner
- The Museum of Bus Transportation (MOBT), a Museum partner
- Original stories from contributors
According to Bliemeister, “The initial offerings are Reflections Spring 2020 issue, ‘The Mt. Rushmore of Tucker’ by Larry Clark and ‘The Forrest Gump of Transportation’ adapted from a story by David Millhouser.”
The “bookshelf” is part of the Museum’s Collection Chronicles Series. The series features Museum virtual tours and “Behind the Wheel” e-mail-delivered short stories.
