Christmas in July: The Gift of Trains
Jul 24, 2021 – Jul 25, 2021
The AACA Museum, Inc., America’s Transportation Experience, invites train lovers and motoring enthusiasts — young and old — to join us in celebrating “Christmas in July” in our Train Room, July 24th-25th. With the sun shining and Santa on hiatus, the Museum received amazing holiday gifts to our model train collection from Museum volunteer, Wayne Manson. Wayne donated three Christmas trains and numerous additions to our display. Among them are a Christmas Imperial Diesel engine and caboose along with snowmen & trees; a Lionel Winter Wonderland Express; and a Christmas Light Express five-piece set.
A new addition!
To add to the festive spirit of “Christmas in July,” Wayne has recently donated a “Mickey Mouse & Friends” train. This colorful addition featuring adds to the wonder and delight of the display.
There’s no need to wait until December to enjoy our festive Train Room and holiday-themed model locomotives. In addition to Wayne’s donations to our collection, The “Polar Express” — a Museum holiday favorite — will rumble down the track.

Thank you volunteers
We truly appreciate Wayne and all of the model train exhibit volunteers. Wayne is a retired Marine and Vietnam veteran who was awarded two purple hearts and a bronze star for valor. He is a resident of Harrisburg, and he has been a volunteer since 2019.
Each week our volunteers keep the trains rolling and maintain our extensive track featuring tunnels, bridges, and trestles, and all of the small-scale buildings to create a miniature world from bygone days.
