Christmas in July for Train Lovers

Jul 23 Jul 24

Our new Christmas-themed platform is under construction

The AACA Museum, Inc., America’s Transportation Experience, invites train lovers and motoring enthusiasts — young and old — to join us in celebrating “Christmas in July” in our Train Room, on July 23rd and 24th.

With the sun shining and Santa on hiatus, the museum’s holiday-themed model train collection will be rumbling along the tracks. There’s no need to wait until December to enjoy our festive Train Room and holiday-themed model locomotives including the “Polar Express.”

New for this year

This year, we’re unveiling an all-new Christmas-themed platform to expand our Christmas in July experience. Also, visitors can participate in our special Christmas in July scavenger hunt. Just complete the hunt and receive a prize at Accessories, the museum gift shop.

Kids can choose one of three train-themed crafts:
• Shapes craft: Sticky foam shapes attached to a locomotive
• Coloring craft: Three train cards plus crayons/pack
• Game: Match railway trademarks to the railroad company, 3-pack plus answer card.

Visitors can also complete a scavenger hunt and receive a special museum gift shop discount.

Thank you, volunteers

We truly appreciate Wayne Manson and all of the model train exhibit volunteers. Wayne donated Christmas trains and numerous additions to our display. Among them are a Mickey Mouse & Friends” train; a Christmas Imperial Diesel engine and caboose along with snowmen & trees; a Lionel Winter Wonderland Express; and a Christmas Light Express five-piece set.

Each week our volunteers keep the trains rolling and maintain our extensive track featuring tunnels, bridges, trestles, and all of the small-scale buildings to create a miniature world from bygone days.
