Hershey, PA (January 19, 2016) —Don’t let cabin fever keep you in, get out of the house and enjoy The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum’s Family Fun Weekend. The Museum is offering the community a special $7 admission price and special activities on January 23 & 24. Children 3 and under are always free.
Cruise through time as you enjoy vintage vehicles from the early 1890’s through the 1980’s in our main gallery. Each decade of vehicles is arranged to correspond to a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco complete with themed settings. Our lower level gallery features The Museum of Bus Transportation’s collection of more than 10 full sized antique buses along with our original 1940’s Valentine Diner where visitors can learn diner trivia. Special collection vehicles include Betty White’s Cadillac, Whitney Houston’s Rolls-Royce Limousine and the Lakeland Bus used in the movie “Forrest Gump.” Other exhibit items include motorcycles, motor scooters and a collection of more than 100 hood ornaments. Our permanent exhibit – The Cammack Tucker Gallery showcases the World’s largest display of Tucker automobiles and tells the story of Preston Tucker.
On January 23 & 24, guests can participate in our Museum wide scavenger hunt to locate your favorite “Cars” from the Disney-Pixar Cars movie that are hidden throughout the Museum – How many can you find? Kids of all ages love the interactive photo stop where you can pretend to drive a vintage car or truck. Our Roads to Rails model train display offers many scenes and lots of buttons to push that run a variety of special effects.
Special exhibits will feature our Micro & Mini car display.
