Hershey, PA (9/19/16). AACA Museum will open its doors free of charge on Saturday, September 24, 2016 as part of Smithsonian magazine’s twelfth annual Museum Day Live! On this day only, participating museums across the United States emulate the spirit of the Smithsonian Institution’s Washington DC-based facilities, which offer free admission every day, and open their doors for free to those who download a Museum Day Live! ticket.

Inclusive by design, the event represents Smithsonian’s commitment to make learning and the spread of knowledge accessible to everyone. Last year’s event drew over 200,000 participants, and this year’s event is expected to attract more museum-goers than ever before.

The AACA Museum has three special featured exhibits for guests to enjoy this weekend. “Early Off-Roaders” encourages summer adventures with a variety of off-road vehicles celebrating the 50th Anniversary of the Ford Bronco and the 75th Anniversary of the Jeep. “Mods Vs. Rockers” showcases the clash between the Scooter and Motorcycle cultures during the 60s in the United Kingdom through exhibits featuring motorcycles, scooters and vintage clothing from this time. “Steampunk U” provides a diverse collection of Steampunk artistic creations in a variety of forms comprised from the collections of several featured artists. Permanent exhibits include the World’s largest collection of Tucker Automobiles and memorabilia, an authentic 1940s Valentine Diner, along with dozens of vintage cars, buses and motorcycles from the 1890s – 1980s.
