Beyond a car show, this weekend of events is a destination event for three great causes!
Hershey, PA (June 10, 2014): The Elegance at Hershey Fathers’ Day weekend of family-friendly events will take place this weekend, June 13-15 at The Hotel Hershey® property. Weekend activities include vintage hill climb racing, a 5K run, dinner and charity auction. The weekend culminates with The Elegance at Hershey, a unique automobile show featuring a line up of more than 65 of the world’s rarest automobiles. Bob Lutz, Honorary Chairman will also be available for autographs throughout the weekend.
June 13 & 14 – The Grand Ascent
10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The Grand Ascent, a two-day revival of the famed Hershey Hill Climb, will feature more than 40 vintage race cars. Fans will have the opportunity to experience hill climb racing “up close and personal” with open pits, special viewing areas and even the rare chance to ride in a vintage racecar! Daily Admission is $10/day the day of the event and includes free parking. Ages 15 and under receive free admission.
June 14 – The Elegance Challenge 5K
Registration 6:45 a.m.
Race Begins 7:45 a.m.
The Elegance Challenge 5K is a timed runners’ race up the challenging Grand Ascent hill climb course! With a 7/10-mile steep uphill first leg, continuing back to the start line area for a total of 5K. Runners receive Tech shirts, cool down snacks and other surprises, along with VIP Parking and FREE admission to the day’s auto racing! Cash awards provided by Joannie & Michael Rich. $1,500 will be split into age brackets/ male/female first and second place plus top male and top female finisher. Runner entry fee is $30 the day of the event.
June 14 – Dinner & Charity Auction
6:00 – 10:00 p.m.
The Art Deco themed Elegance Dinner & Charity Auction will feature Honorary Chair Bob Lutz, fantastic fare, and an amazing silent auction with more than 30 items. Advance reservations are required for the dinner and are $200/person. Reservations can be made by calling (717) 534-1910.
June 15 – The Elegance at Hershey
9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
The capstone event of the weekend is The Elegance at Hershey, a unique automobile show in a garden party setting, with more than 65 of the world’s rarest and most sought-after collector cars from all eras. With a national reputation for showing an exclusive selection of rare cars from across the country, The Elegance Concours on Sunday has been described as one of the best shows of its kind in the country. A great way to spend Father’s day! Tickets are available for $25 the day of the event and include free parking and a full-color 100-page program. Ages 15 and under receive free admission.
