|One of the world’s leading transportation museums is seeking an Executive Director. The position is responsible to the Board of Directors for supervision of staff involved in all operating aspects of the museum including development, exhibits, artifact preservation, facility rentals/events, group tours, attendance, facility maintenance and financial success. Major donor development experience essential. The position is located in Hershey, PA.
Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree in Museum Management, Business Management or other relevant professional education/experience. An MBA is a plus. A minimum of 15 years professional experience required, several years as a successful leader or manager in a nonprofit organization. Superior written and oral communication skills are required.

Event Coordinator – Full-time
The AACA Museum needs a motivated, strong leader, team-oriented, customer service driven, and highly detail-oriented Event Coordinator to be part of a team focused on turning visions into realities for events, as well as, building relationships with clients and staff. Will meet with decision makers to set up and oversee staff and vendors. Must be able to listen and respond to the client’s needs and concerns in a helpful, professional, above and beyond manner. Administrative duties include: maintain client records, make appointments and schedule staff. Must efficiently lead a staff and communicate with management and co-workers in a professional positive manner and be able to handle details accurately and deal with different type of scenarios with patience, politeness and tact.
Salary: $10.00 – $12.00 per hour depending on experience

Number of hours: 40 hours per week. Weekend and week nights are mandatory.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinates and executes all logistics for events such as but not limited to meetings, expos, weddings, social events, group tours
- Primary “go to” person responsible for the scheduling, planning and coordination of vendors and staff
- Serves as a leader and supervises event leads, event staff, and set up crew
- Provide administrative support for sales and events department
- Prepares timelines and floor plans in a timely fashion
- Send thank you letters after events to clients
- Maintain contact list of vendors, and clients
- Maintain event calendar including set-up, tear-down and drop offs
Education and Experience
At least two years event planning experience
At least two years management experience
High-School Diploma or higher education
Must have working knowledge of Microsoft Office
Administrative Assistant – Part-time
The AACA Museum needs an administrative assistant who will operate as the assistant to the executive director, as well as, provide a wide range of administrative support for guests, staff, and volunteers in an effort to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the Museum. This assistant will handle incoming and outgoing calls and e-mails. Must be able to listen and respond to the callers needs and concerns in a helpful, professional manner. Administrative duties include: record staff meetings, process donations, memberships, and ticket sales that arrive via mail, and manage request for donation procedure. Must be able to handle details accurately and interact with patience, politeness and tact.
Number of hours: 20 hours per week
