On Display at the AACA Museum
Present – November 6, 2016
Hershey, PA (July 16, 2016) — The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum gets inventive with the opening of a creative summer exhibit, “Steampunk U”, on display until November 6, 2016. What is Steampunk? Steampunk: refers to a subgenre of science fiction and sometimes fantasy that incorporates technology and aesthetic designs inspired by 19th-century industrial steam-powered machinery.
Our Steampunk display incorporates a reflection on recycled gears and parts commonly found in the automotive industry re-purposed into both an artistic and functional form.
With the help of guest curator, Thomas Willeford, we’re excited to showcase this form of artistic expression and some emerging artists. Willeford is a Steampunk artist and guest judge on the GSNTV Series, Steampunk’D. Mike Liebner acted as an artist liaison for this exhibit.
