FINS

FINS: The Rise and Fall of the Tail Fin in American Automotive Design

May 10 – October 12, 2008

Bobby socks, leather jackets, poodle skirts—and fins? That’s right. During the 50’s and 60’s, being in style meant driving a car that looked like a rocket ship!

Return to those days with the Antique auto Museum at Hershey as we present a special exhibit celebrating the tail fin and the era that produced them. From the sweeping fins of the ’61 Buick to the rising sails of the ’58 Desoto, the exhibit traces the rise and fall of a styling feature that created some of the most colorful and dramatic automobiles ever to travel America’s roadways.

So zip up your leathers, pat down your skirt and high tail it to Hershey for a show about UFO’s—Unbelievable Finned Objects! The fun starts May 10th and runs through October 12, 2008.
