An Evening with Karl Ludvigsen, Award Winning Porsche Author and Historian - Friday, April 19
Hershey, PA (March 12, 2013). The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum recently unveiled its newest exhibit Porsche Style & Design. On display are the very best examples of air and water-cooled production models, unique prototypes and famous racing versions which dominated the world’s race courses for decades. This exhibit also showcases numerous products from Porsche - the design firm, and Porsche - the sports car manufacturer, that enabled the company to succeed and prosper. As a special program in conjunction with this exhibit the AACA Museum is proud to feature An Evening with Karl Ludvigsen, the famed Porsche author, on Friday evening, April 19th.
Guests will enjoy a delicious array of German theme food accompanied by craft beer and craft sodas in the AACA Museum’s main gallery surrounded by the fabulous Porsche vehicles and design items from this exhibit. Following the reception, Karl will be giving a presentation based on his 2012 Dean Batchelor award-winning book Porsche - Origin of the Species. Jerry Seinfeld’s Porsche Gmund coupe 356/2-040 served as the inspiration of the book and also the feature photo on the book’s cover taken by acclaimed photographer Michael Furman. He'll also be signing copies of Origins, as well as his other automotive history books including the acclaimed Porsche: Excellence Was Expected. The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, a member of the Smithsonian Institution Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1900’s - 1980’s in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco. The AACA Museum, a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization, is one of the nation’s newest and largest automotive museums and has been recognized by several publications as one of the top automotive museums in the world. Special exhibits change several times a year and focus on a variety of eras and types of vehicles.
