Local Schools Show Holiday Spirit at the AACA Museum Now - January 6, 2013

Hershey, PA (11/20/2012). The AACA Museum is excited to have Christmas trees decorated by our local school students on display this year for our Spectacular Christmas Celebration. East Hanover Elementary School, Hershey High School, Lower Dauphin High School, Steelton High School, Upper Dauphin Middle School, and Robert G. Reid Elementary schools have decorated six different trees to show their holiday cheer!  The students will display their trees until January 6, 2013. The community and Museum

Visitors are encouraged to come by the museum and vote for your favorites. The top three schools with the most votes will win a Visa gift cards, 3rd place will win $50, 2nd place will win $100 and 1st place will win $150.


Along with the Student’s tree the Museum has decorated our own themed trees. This year includes a Teddy Bear tree, the Grinch that Stole Christmas tree, Santa Claus tree, Snowman tree, favorite things of girls and boys trees, Coke™ tree and our new PEZ™ Dispenser tree.


While you’re browsing through our Winter Wonderland, the Museum will continue to have dozens of antique cars, buses, motorcycles and more on display for all of our car lovers. To add to the holiday spirit, Ernie the Taxi from “It’s a Wonderful Life” along with Herbie from “Herbie Rides Again” will be on display.
As a special Christmas treat, our indoor drive-in theatre will be showing seven different films including “It’s a Wonderful Life”, “Herbie Rides Again”, “Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas!”, “The Polar Express”, “Elf”, “Arthur Christmas” and “Santa Buddies”.

ABOUT THE AACA MUSEUM:

The Antique Automobile Club of America Museum, a member of the Smithsonian Institute Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1900’s – 1970’s in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco.   This Museum, a 501 (c) 3 non-profit organization, is one of the nation’s newest and largest automotive museums.  Special exhibits change several times a year and focus on a variety of eras and types of vehicles.  The Museum is located just off Route 39, one mile west of Hersheypark Drive in Hershey, Pennsylvania.  Regular admission $10, seniors age 61 and older $9, juniors age 4-12 $7, children age 3 and under are FREE.  The Museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.   The Museum will be closed on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and New Year’s Day.  For further information, please call 717-566-7100 or visit www.AACAMuseum.org.

The AACA Museum is located off Route 39 West, one mile from the Hersheypark Drive intersection.
