Antique Automobile Club of America Hershey Fall Meet and Car Show October 10-13, 2012
HERSHEY, PA, September 17, 2012 – The 57th Annual AACA Hershey Fall Meet and Car Show will be held October 10-13 on the Hersheypark Grounds in Hershey, PA. This 4 day event features a flea market with over 9,000 vendor spaces, a car corral with 1,000+ antique vehicles for sale and car show on Saturday with more than
1,300 historic and one-of-a-kind antique vehicles on display. Vehicles such as a rare 1953 Packard Balboa and1954 Packard Panther, along with many other concept and prototype cars that have rarely been seen!
In past years, we have seen over 200,000 attendees with presence from nearly 30 countries outside the United States. Travelers from as far as Australia, New Zealand and China, bringing a global presence to Hershey and ultimate antique auto show experience!
The car corral and flea market will be open Wednesday through Saturday. The Car Show will occur on Saturday, October 13, judging to begin promptly at 10:00 am. Public admission for viewing of the Car Corral, Flea Market, and Car Show is free.
Other activities during the week include an Old Time Movies showing on Thursday night and a Family Talent show night on Friday both located at the Music Box Theatre in Hersheypark. Friday will also showcase a Race Car Condition Run and Hughes Highwheeler Event at the Hersheypark Stadium. All mentioned events are open
to the public and free of charge.
In addition to the Fall Meet, there will be the Night at the Museum event on Wednesday at the AACA Museum on Route 39. Also a two-night special automotive auction sponsored by RM Auctions will be Thursday and Friday of that week at the Hershey Lodge. Last year’s auction drew excitement when the world's oldest running car,
an 1884 De Dion Bouton Et Trapardoux Dos-A-Dos Steam Runabout, made history fetching $4.62 million.
While there are fees for day parking charged by the owner of the property, there will also be shuttle buses that will operate between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm on Wednesday through Friday, Saturday buses will operate between 7:00 am and 3:00 pm. The off site shuttle bus station located on Stadium Road of the event grounds will
travel to AACA National Headquarters, AACA Library, AACA Museum, K-Mart, Comfort Inn, Springhill Suites, Highmeadow Campground. Field shuttles will run Wednesday through Saturday between the flea market fields, car corral and Show Field (Saturday). Look for bus signs on site.
The AACA, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation, has served as the country’s premier resource for the collectible vehicle community since its formation in 1935. Through its national office, publications, online forums, Library, Museum and membership, the Club has assisted countless individuals, historians and collectors, along with other
libraries and museums, in the quest to preserve and enjoy the antique automobile experience.
