Food and Toy Drive - Help us fill the Truck for families in need Now - December 17

Hershey, PA  (10/27/11).   The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum is teaming up with Carry the Light Ministries of Mechanicsburg for the fifth consecutive year to help sponsor a Food & Toy “DRIVE”.     Last year this “DRIVE” was able to assist more than 100 families in the Central Pennsylvania Area with groceries and toys over the holiday season and we thank you for your generosity.  With your help, we’re hoping to increase the number of families this year.  An antique pick up truck is parked in the Museum’s lobby and we’re looking to fill the truck with non-perishable food, household items, toiletries and toy items for families in need.

“Were trying to help the families who make just a little too much for the welfare or food bank help, and have to struggle to make the ends meet” stated Pastor Dan Lehman, founder of Carry the Light Ministries.  “There are lots of families out there who continually struggle financially and have just a bit too much income to receive public assistance.”
Dan, along with his wife Dolores, are the ”driving” force behind making this community Food & Toy “DRIVE” a great success. In addition to being a co-founder of Carry the Light Ministries, Dan is an avid bus and motorcycle enthusiast and a volunteer at both the Museum of Bus Transportation and the AACA Museum.
Members of the community and Museum visitors can help by donating non-perishable food and household items (soups, canned goods, boxes of pasta, cans of tuna, etc.) or money to purchase groceries or grocery store gift cards.  General household items such as bathroom tissue, soap, toothpaste, and home cleaning products are also appreciated for inclusion in the gift packages.  Carry the Light Ministries has established a separate account to manage these donations.  We are also accepting toys that will be provided to the children in these families for holiday gifts.

Donations of food, toys or money can be made at the following locations:
