Trunk or Treat at the AACA Museum
Gather up your miniature ghosts and goblins and head over to the AACA Museum in Hershey for a bit of Halloween fun! All visitors 12 and under will be eligible to participate in the Museum’s new “Trunk or Treat” program included with their regular Museum admission.
The first stop will be in the Museum’s theater where kids will be able to decorate their own Treat bags using various car and Halloween stamps, stickers, markers and more. Halloween themed videos will be played in the theatre so everyone can get in the decorating spirit.
Once they’ve personalized their own treat bag, the hunt will begin to locate a variety of “trunk or treat” spots within the main and lower levels of the Museum. Treats will be given to each child 12 and under at each of these treat locations throughout the Museum. Treat products are being provided by our generous sponsors: The Hershey Company, Hershey’s Chocolate World and Herr’s Snack Foods.
This is a fun and safe way for kids to enjoy the Halloween holiday and a great addition to the unique exhibits that the Museum offers throughout the year. “We’re always looking for ways to engage our visitors” says Nancy Gates, the Director of Marketing and Operations for the Museum “this opportunity allows us to tie together the love of the car hobby with treats for kids as they learn about the history and fun of the car hobby.”
The overall Halloween theme will be complimented with a hearse display featuring a wooden body 1924 REO Funeral Hearse, 1 1972 Cadillac Hearse and a 1989 Oldsmobile Hearse. Other special Museum displays will include Camaros & Firebirds and Fast from the Past: Competition Motorcycles of Yesteryear.
The Antique Auto Museum at Hershey, a member of the Smithsonian Institute Affiliations Program, displays beautifully restored automobiles, buses and motorcycles in unique life-like scenes representing the 1900’s – 1970’s in a cross-country journey from New York to San Francisco. This Museum, a 501 (c) (3) non-profit organization, is one of the nation’s newest and largest automotive museums. Special exhibits change several times a year and focus on a variety of eras and types of vehicles. The Museum is located just off Route 39, one mile west of Hersheypark Drive in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Regular admission $10, seniors age 61 and older $9, juniors age 4-12 $7, children age 3 and under are FREE. The Museum is open daily from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
