161Club Spring Tour

Treat yourself and your friends to two uncommon collections in Southeast Pennsylvania when the 161Club tours the assemblages of antique cars, trucks, race cars and other items owned by Dave Markel and John Haines.

9:30 a.m.   The tour begins at Dave Markel’s garage in Skippack, PA, where Mike Casale, curator, will take us through four buildings: House of Britain, Dave’s Garage aka
House of Deutche, one dedicated to race cars and motorcycles used in competition, and the American Classics building.  Something special for the women:  art, pottery, Mercedes Benz china and other items of interest.   

12 Noon   Drive to Basta Pasta, an Italian café located in a historic brick building, for lunch. 
                         
12:15 p.m. Select lunch from a wide variety of traditional Italian and American dishes, 
including paninis, pizza, and platters. Order from the Menu. Separate checks.    

1:30 p.m.  Drive to Pennsburg, PA, to view John Haines’ unusual collections

1.45 p.m.  Art Cooper, curator, will lead our tour through John Haines’ various
collections in three building, including trucks (Mack and others from 1919 to                  1959), 50 bulldozers, race cars, old buggies and sleighs, toys, cans, chain saws, 
Texaco  models, and railroad items.

The Spring Tour Registration Form is included.  Please complete the form and return it by March 6 with your registration fee to Mark Lizewskie, Executive Director,  AACA Museum, 161 Museum Drive, Hershey, PA 17033

After you register, you’ll receive driving directions, in tour sequence, from your address to each stop on the tour.  You’ll also receive GPS addresses in case you wish to determine your own route(s).
