Mods Vs. Rockers

March 19 – October 15, 2016. The mods and rockers conflict led sociologist Stanley Cohen to coin the term moral panic in his study about the two youth subcultures. Theme: A history and examination of the “Mods & Rockers” era in the UK, late 1950s – early 1960s. The exhibit will feature approximately 12 period motorcycles and 12 period scooters, along with material culture, photographs, and interpretive posters.
