AACA Museum Earns Six NAAMY Awards

Hershey, PA (May 12, 2016) – The Antique Automobile Club of America (AACA) Museum received six NAAMY Awards during the National Association of Automobile Museums (NAAM) Conference held May 3 – 6, 2016 at the Seal Cove Auto Museum in Bar Harbor, Maine.  NAAM is a professional center of excellence for automobile museums and affiliated organizations that supports, educates and encourages members to operate according to professional standards of the museum industry.

 

The annual NAAMY awards competition honors the work of nonprofit automotive transportation museums. The awards recognize industry leaders for achievement, professionalism and creativity. They are designed to further promote professionalism in automotive museum managerial, curatorial, educational and promotional work. Awards are given based upon two divisions – Division I is for Museums with budgets of less than $300,000 and Division II is for Museums with budgets greater than $300,000.
The AACA Museum is honored to earn awards in the following categories:
Second Place – Division II Newsletters & Magazines for the Reflections Newsletter publication intended to share information about the AACA Museum exhibits and activities with our members and donors.
Second Place – Division II Events & Public Promotions for the Back to the Future 30th Anniversary Tribute Car & Future Day promotional event.
Second Place – Division II Film & Video for the Motorbikes for the Masses exhibit promotional video hosted on the AACA Museum website and social media channels.
Second Place – Division II Educational Programs for the grade specific educational materials created by Lebanon Valley College Masters students inspired by AACA Museum exhibits.
Third Place – Division II Events and Public Promotions related to the 6th Annual Wedding Showcase event held in February.
Third Place – Division II Films & Video for the Lotus: The Art of Lightness video to promote the exhibit to visitors of the AACA Museum website.
The AACA Museum is honored to win these prestigious awards, as they represent an ongoing commitment to excellence and high standards within our field. We present a diverse palette of changing exhibits and innovative events that provide a World-Class automotive experience for our guests.
The AACA Museum is proud to be chosen as the host of the 2018 NAAM conference.
